A Biggles story set during World War 2, where Biggles finds himself recruited as an enemy intelligence service a double agent as he in the service of The Air Board of Britain); and, once posted out Palestine by the German high command many adventures occur while he is trying to capture the enemy's' spy named El Shareef. Bumping of the book corners with softening of the back strip edges. There is fading along the front edge of the front panel. Age toning and faint foxing to the text block edges with age toning of the pages. Offset tanning and foxing to the end pages; with, previous owners details to the free front end page along with previous seller's price ($2.00) which has been (unfortunately) placed in a black coloured marker – please see photograph. A black coloured mark to the last page. A previous owner has used the book as a flower press, and residue can be seen, particularly on pages 110 / 111, but there are other pages with faint residue as well throughout the book. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels and there is a very small tear to the top left hand corner of the front panel. This some marks to the dustwrapper. Of note, is the back that the dustwrapper has been printed on the back of a another book's dustwrapper – Stories of Apple-Tree Farm – as this book was printed just after World War II and economy measures were taken.
