A heavily worn but readable volume. Volume 27 of the ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS, containing issues from July 14 through December 29, 1855. Includes reporting on the Crimean War, Queen Victoria's visit to Paris, and a visit to England by the king of Sardinia. Contains plenty of fine engravings, including Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, fireworks over Versailles, and a Christmas supplement with color plates. Measures approx. 16.4" x 12.
