Smoke stains on cover (most visible on the back), foredge, and tips of endpapers. Spotty stains and patchy insect damage on front and back covers as well. Bottom corners bumped and worn, and head of spine chipped. Scattered foxing and fingerprint smudges inside, but text otherwise clean, and binding tight. Externally worn but still sturdy and readable. A history of the World War I service of the 88th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army, which was made up of men from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Missouri. Includes a complete divisional roster and plenty of black and white photographs, plus a few foldout maps. Fair .
