Description: Baltimore, National Association of Marble Dealers, 1923. Leather. 3 vols. A set of three large hardcover books bound in 3/4 red leather with marbled endpapers. Corners and spine edges wearing through and starting to fray. Light soiling on covers and small scribble on front of volume 1. Old sticker on volume 1's spine. Split forming at the bottom of volume 2's spine, and the head of this volume's spine is chipped about half an inch. Scattered marginalia in volume 1; otherwise, text clean across the set. The binding is still tight, despite the worn exteriors. Volumes 1-3 of THROUGH THE AGES, a monthly magazine devoted to the use of marble in architecture. Includes 36 issues total, from May 1923 through April 1926, with no missing issues in that date span. A scarce record of classic American architecture, illustrated with plenty of excellent black and white photographs. Each volume measures approx. 11.25" x 9. Good .
