Paris 1776. 12mo. 504; 488 pages. Contemporary mottled calf with raised bands and gilt stamping on spine. Corners rubbed. Vol 1 has top 1/4 inch of head of spine missing, vol 2 has bottom 1/4 inch of spine missing. Vol 2 has 2 big stainmarks on rear cover which have damaged the leather. Overall still a decent copy. This copy is missing the 18 plates that are called for on the title page. The three major plates discussed for cultivation, trpes and varites are Peach, oranges and grapes - pecher, orangers, vigne. Good.
