Pictorial yellow boards illustrated in green, gray & white, in a matching pictorial dust wrapper. The edges of the covers are rubbed with wear to the corners and head and tail of the spine. The soiled dust jacket is torn & chipped with several pieces out from the edges and some repairs from the verso. The jacket's spine has mostly perished and the panels have separated. [62] unnumbered pages with color pictorial endpapers and profuse full-page color illustrations by Jean de Brunhoff followed by a "List of Words Which Can Be Found" (in the stories of Babar's adventures) in English with their French translation. The first signature (i.e. group of pages) is lightly pulled. Very good in a fair dust wrapper. An early edition with an announcement about the publication of "Zephir's Holidays" printed on the dust wrapper's rear flap. Fair .
