Gray boards backed with an orange cloth spine, titled in gilt on the spine with the author's name in gilt on the front cover, in the original pictorial dust wrapper with the price present at the top of the jacket's front flap (i.e. the dust wrapper is not price-clipped) The top edge of the book is dyed yellow. The corners and head & tail of the book's spine are lightly bumped and there is a little wear to the top edge where the text block meets the spine. There is minor rubbing to the head and tail of the jacket's spine with faint creases to the top edges of the jacket. 256 pages. A previous owner's name & date are penned on the front pastedown. Very good. First American Edition, first issue, with 3 blurbs on the rear panel of the dust wrapper and the last 2 lines of text inverted on page 138. Very good .
