Description: Boston: Printed by Thurston, Torry & Emerson, 1852. 1852. - Sextodecimo (16mo), 7 inches high by 4-1/2 inches wide. Softcovers bound in printed pink wraps. The covers are lightly soiled with light creases. There is a short tear to the front edge of the front cover and the wraps are splitting along the head and tail of the spine. 16 pages plus 4 blank leaves. There is minor soiling to the title page and the page corners are lightly creased. Good. RARE. The First Congregational Church of Reading was founded in 1770. Doctrinal differences caused a split in the church creating a Second Congregational Church. The new church was dedicated in 1850 and was called the Bethesda Church and Society. Good .
