Description: Very good. - Partially printed reproduction of the cover art for "Batman No. 11" published in 1942. The 14 inch high by 10-1/4 inch wide image is printed on 16 inch high by 11 inch wide stiff art paper/board. The title "Bat Man" is inked in on similar stiff art paper and pasted along the top of the image. Also similarly penned & inked in on stiff paper is the issue number with the date and price as well as the "DC" logo, all of which are pasted at the top of the image. Except for the size, this partially printed cover art is an identical reproduction of the original cover art drawn by Fred Ray and inked by Jerry Robinson which sold for 195,000 dollars back in 2005. The image of the fight between Batman, Robin and the Joker featured the villain in his first cover appearance on a Batman title. Portrayed against a background of playing cards, the image depicts the Joker reeling back from Batman's punch as Robin looks on. There is a very small tear to the top edge of the sheet and some minor rubbing to the bottom of the letter "M" in "Batman". Very good. Very good .
