ALLEN - Oblong octavo, 5 inches high by 6-1/2 inches wide. Softcover, pictorial self-wraps illustrated with a photographic illustration of the "State House, Boston, Massachusetts" on the cover page. Both identical three-page brochures printed on a folded sheet of cream paper with descriptive text describing the history of the state house embossed below the State's coat of arms which in turn is embossed in blue and gilt at the top. A brief history of "The Old State House", embossed on the facing page is illustrated with a woodcut vignette of the historic building. Both brochures are signed in full "Frank G. Allen" as Governor along the bottom right, with some very minor variations in the signatures. The brochures are both lightly creased along the top. Very good. The American businessman and politician Frank Gilman Allen (1874-1950) was the president of a leathergoods business in Norwood, Massachusetts before serving two terms as Lieutenant Governor and subsequently as Governor of Massachusetts. Very good .
