The edges of the covers are faded and bumped. The soiled & stained dust jacket is chipped along the edges. [ii] & 359 pages. The pastedowns are darkened, else the contents are unusually BRIGHT and CLEAN. (The pages of many copies are often found darkened and yellowed due to the paper used during the Second World War). Very good in a good dust wrapper. Movie edition. Basil Rathbone (1892-1967) created the role of Sherlock Holmes on the screen in 14 films from 1939 through 1946. Good .
