Blower writes to Judith Levy at American Artist about the upcoming May issue of the magazine enclosing a check and asking her to send him forty copies: "I possibly will want more at a later date as I have found that material of this kind has a way of going out of one's possession at a very rapid rate. I will write to Norman [Kent, the editor] separately to thank him personally for the masterful manner in which he edited my manuscript."
American artist David Blower [1901-1976] studied at the Wicker School of Fine Arts, Detroit, and in Paris. He began exhibiting his watercolors professionally in the early thirties. While living in California his transparent watercolor paintings included farm scenes, cityscapes of Los Angeles and beach scenes along the Pacific coast. From 1930 to 1960 he also worked as a commercial illustrator. Very good .
