Description: November 10th, 1934. 1934. - An unevenly cut slip of gray paper [approximately 1-7/8 inches high by 4-1/4 inches wide] is signed "Archie Binns / Nov. 10,1934." The paper is unevenly darkened. There is unrelated text printed on the verso with 2 small pieces of tape where the autograph has previously been removed from an album. Good. Archie Binns [1899-1971] was an American author who graduated from Stanford University in 1921. Though strongly influenced by his upbringing in the Pacific Northwest, he moved in the 1920s to New York where his editor at Charles Scribner's Sons was Maxwell Perkins. He returned to the Northwest in the 1940s and taught creative writing at the University of Washington, Western Washington State College and Skagit Valley College. He wrote novels, histories and biographies. Good .
