RARE FIRST AMERICAN EDITION OF THE POET'S FIRST BOOK - Octavo, blue cloth titled in gilt on the spine and in blue within a decorated gilt oval on the front cover. The top edge is gilt and the book is housed in a pictorial white dust wrapper. The white dust jacket is soiled with chips, small tears and a couple of small pieces out from the edges. The covers are slightly rubbed. xiii, [i] & 184 pages, with a title page vingette, 4 photographic illustrations, and facsimiles of Helen Adams' drawings and pictorial frames surrounding her written text. There is a tiny piece of paper pulling away from the inner edge of the half-title's verso. Very good.

The first American edition of the poet's first book. Rare in dust wrapper. Very good .
