Description: 1934. 1934. - An original 10-1/8 inch high by 8 inch wide sienna-toned photograph of Sophie Tucker by Maurice Seymour of Chicago. The image portrays the short haired blond performer from the chest up. Attired in a sleeveless dark dress, her right arm rests on the unseen arm of a chair. The photographer's name is printed in white within the image at bottom right and his credits are stamped on the verso. Inscribed, signed and dated in blue ink by Sophie Tucker at bottom left: With compliments / Sophie Tucker / to Sonny Fuller / 1934". Round white cloth mounting tape reinforces the edges of two holes which have been punched through the top of the photograph. The photograph is lightly soiled with creases along the edges and corners, including two heavier horizontal creases along the right edge. Good.
