The frontispiece is detached, but present, with a tiny tear to it's front edge and the half title is starting. A previous owner's name has been cut out from the front endpaper. The blurb, cut from the missing dust jacket, is mounted to the rear pastedown. Good. First edition. "Mr. Bird came over to England to investigate the present position of Spiritualism. He was not a Spiritualist himself, and kept an absolutely impartial mind on the subject. Accompanied by Sir A.
