Arthur Leon Imbert de Saint-Amand [1834-1900] was a nineteenth-century French aristocrat, choreographer and historian of his times. He is best known for his accounts, often imbued with firsthand information, of the French aristocracy.
Maria Amelie [1782-1866] became Queen of France when her husband Louis-Philippe, Duke of Orleans acceded to the French throne following the July Revolution of 1830. This volume deals with events leading up to her reign.
