Good The Lambs, founded as an actors' dining club in 1874, had become by 1925 the most famous theatrical club in the world. Its members were known as Lambs and its presidents as Shepherds. Among the Lambs were such luminaries as Irving Berlin, W. C. Fields, John Barrymore, Will Rogers, and Frank Sinatra who said "When I was made a Lamb I felt as if I had been knighted." The bi-monthly bulletin "Lambs Script" reported on the activities of the club and its members. The lead article in this issue is a glowing biography of American actor, songwriter, author and theatrical producer John Lionel Golden [1874-1955] who was Shepherd of the Lambs from 1942 to 1945.
