First edition
Fairchild Systems was a United States defense contractor. The San Francisco Chronicle described the company as "one of the legendary names of Silicon Valley" and noted that its Bay Area operations were a training ground for the engineers who went on to found Intel and other top semiconductor companies.
The authors write: "This document is a record of the presentation recently made at The Pentagon jointly by Dr. R. H. Dyck of Fairchild Semiconductor Research and Development Laboratory and Mr. W. J. Heacock of Fairchild Space and Defense Systems. Dr. Dyck dealt with the developments at Fairchild Semiconductor that have resulted in several different silicon large scale integration photosensor arrays. Mr. Heacock related the theory and practice of processing the array output signals to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio.".
Mounted on the front of the folder is the address label of Edward Willett who worked as an engineer at Fairchild Systems. Very good .
