Very good. - sc An original 10 inch high by 7 inch wide sepia-toned silver print photograph depicting Ferdinand Foch, the French military officer who was Supreme Commander of the Allied Armies during the First World War, during his visit to Cleveland, Ohio in 1921. Marshall Foch is depicted in three- quarter profile attired in his great coat and high leather boots, cane and leather gloves in hand. His French military cap seems as much part of his features as his bushy white mustache. The French hero is shown, standing next to a pillar on the porch of a white house, in the company of a younger military officer, also photographed in three-quarter profile facing Marshall Foch, at ease, with hands behind his back. The copyright date "1921" is printed in white at bottom right within the image and the photographer "Frank Moore Studio" is embossed in blind at the bottom right corner. The edges are slightly darkened and there are a couple of tiny chips and a crease to the bottom left edge. A strong image housed in the photographic studio's original gray folder.
Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces Marshall Foch visited Cleveland during November in 1921. The visit included a caravan along North Park Boulevard in honor of the French military hero of the first World War. Very good .
