Very good. - Small quarto [10-3/8 inches high by 7-1/2 inches wide], decorative cream paper covered boards backed with tan cloth, titled in blue with decorations in gilt on the spine & with 2 decorative bands in gilt & blue and 2 reddish brown leather ties on each board. The boards are bumped. The head & tail of the spine are chipped & stained with small areas of staining to the adjacent corners of the boards. 87 & [5] pages plus colophon. Illustrated with 25 color reproductions of miniatures, including the pictorial title, & with 4 head-pieces in brown. There is offsetting to the front endpaper, flyleaf & rear blanks from the leather ties. Very good.

There is a gift inscription to literary critic Oscar Cargill on the front endpaper. Very good .
