The binding is rubbed & bumped & the spine & extremities are darkened. The head of the spine is chipped & the label is rubbed & darkened. 88 pages, including the colophon. Black-and-white portrait frontispiece & decorations in orange & black. The top edge is darkened. There are small pieces out of the top edges of 2 leaves where they have been roughly opened. Internally, the book is bright and clean. Good.

Number 256 of a limited edition of 500 numbered copies.

Presentation copy inscribed by C. Emma Cheney and signed in full on the flyleaf. Good .
