With a special introductory note by Brooks Atkinson, and a foreword by the author's sister Isabel Wilder. With illustrations by Daniel Maffia. Issued as part of the publisher's First Edition Society series which preceded the Harper & Row trade edition. One of an unspecified number in a limited edition. --- Bound in full olive bonded leather covers with two raised bands on spine. Text presented on quality papers. Spine titling, elaborate decorations to covers and spine, and textblock edges all in bright gilt. Orange silk moire endpapers, with matching sewn-in satin ribbon placemarker.
