Entry 341 in EL Biography series, edited by Ernest Rhys (who has supplied a brief introduction). --- In 'Shield Era' curved back binding style 2, full pale green ribbed cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped Reginald Knowles-designed spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, with dark topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at title page, frontis and endpapers. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- With pronounced darkening to spine & prior owner's signature to front paste-down, otherwise a clean, tightly-bound, unmarked copy.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; xv, 438 pages.
