Munro (1870-1916), writing under his pseudonym of Saki. With an introduction by Christopher Morley and a biographical sketch of H. H. Munro by his sister, Ethel M. Munro which is accompanied by a few drawings by Saki. Mr. Munro was killed by a German sniper in France during World War I. --- In Toledano spine 11 / blue cloth / ML hex torchbearer device blindstamped to front cover / gilt-stamped spine titling & torchbearer / grey Kent endpapers / jacket style i. Likely published c.1965 (though 1958 date appears in book). ML #280.1. --- With prior owner's bookplate affixed to verso of front free endpaper, a partial tear at gutter near copyright page (which doesn't affect the stability of the binding) and a mylar jacket cover has been taped to the book, otherwise a tightly-bound, sound copy. Price-clipped dust jacket with retailer's sticker to flap, otherwise bright and intact.; 12mo 7" - 7-1/2" tall; xiii, (3), 718, (2, ads) pages. Good in Good+ dust jacket .
