Mr. Lindbergh's memoir, in which he provides extensive detail about his historic solo first flight across the Atlantic, begins with his childhood and includes much information about his post-flight reception by delirious crowds in both Europe and the U.S. Includes 48 black & white photos. --- In dark blue gilt-stamped cloth-covered boards. In blue jacket which is missing nearly half of upper front cover (including the part bearing the number N-X-211 from the right wing). Though 1927 date appears in this volume, it may have been published anywhere from 1927-1930 or possibly beyond. --- A clean, firm copy with all photos present. Interior lacks markings or inkings. An old soap advertising card was left in mid-book, resulting in minor acidic damage to two leaves. As mentioned, the very damaged jacket is missing nearly one half of its front cover; has numerous chips and tears; is in removable archival mylar protector and bears orig. $2.50 flap price. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 318 pages.
