Interior printed on quality coated papers. All three edges in gilt, the top edge's gilt has faded. With small holes in front pastedown and front free endpaper. The edges of the covers are somewhat worn, and the cloth at spine has split; but the volume is firm and in good shape. With charming inked presention remarks on front free endpaper; otherwise a clean copy. Mr. Longfellow's 1858 long-form poem has been a much-loved bit of Americana since publication; combined with the artwork of Mr. Dixon this makes for a very attractive volume. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 159 pages.
