Harper's Magazine is a monthly magazine of literature, politics, culture, finance, and the arts. Launched in June 1850 by the New York City publisher Harper & Brothers, it is the second-oldest continuously published monthly magazine in the U.S. Each volume features hundreds of illustrations. Former owner's name neatly stamped on first blank preliminary page (Wm. B. Sherman); moderately worn, front hinge sprung, else fine; unmarked, text block tight, square, and clean. VERY GOOD. B&W Drawings. Small 4to 9" - 11" tall. 864 pp. Very Good with No dust jacket as issued .
