This book contains some duplicate material from an earlier publication, A Bicentennial History of Concord, but additional material especially on Cabarrus and Stanly counties. Accounts of Churches, schools, families, The Mexican War, towns, and historical events are included. The index is a key feature as it list people in alphabetical order by surname.
