Emblemata illustré de 103 figures gravées hors-texte. Ex-libris du XVIIIe siècle gravé aux armes de Dieppe, et ex dono imprimé du collège royale de Dieppe daté de 1700. Marin Le Roy de Gomberville (1600-1674), grand ami de Robert d'Andilly et de la famille Arnauld, il adopta assez tôt les idées de Port-Royal. Il fut l'un des premiers membres de l'Académie Française.

Illustrated with two engraved title pages, a frontispiece, a portrait, and 103 engraved plates, all nearly full page, along with engraved head- and tail-pieces. Neat contemporary ink inscription to first title, very small worm tracks to upper corner of about half of the pages. Lovely plates, very clean. Near Fine .
