Por lo demás el libro se encuentra en muy buen estado y con una encuadernación Impecable. Con respecto a este libro de Antoine de La Sale, puede considerarse como su obra más exitosa. Fue "Pequeño Juan de Saintré", escrita en 1456, cuando La Sale tenía setenta años de edad. Esta edición pretende ofrecer al público la versión mas completa de la obra, habiendo cotejado diversos manuscritos, y nos dice Guichard: "Enfin, nous avons fait nos efforts pour accomplir notre tâche d'éditeur; et si nous sommes parvenu à rendre au livre d'Antoine de La Sale la pureté de sa forme primitive, nous aurons atteint notre but.
