Description: S. l. F. W. Woolworth, 1950. Seventeen large die-cut display signs, n. d. ca 1950; various sizes, the largest - approx. 13 x 9, the smallest - approx. 9 x 4 1/2; thick card stock with lithographed illustrations; several of the displays with red F. W. Woolworth stamps to verso; condition varies from near fine - with very minor wear, to very good - with occasional small nicks to edges and a few with small rubbed spots to verso. Though single display signs from Woolworth's famous soda fountain do occasionally appear on the market, this is the largest focused collection we have ever seen. Still quite bright and vibrant, the die-cuts present a strawberry sundae, a chocolate cake with a dollop of vanilla ice cream, an ice cream float, a rainbow pecan sundae, a slice of cherry pie with ice cream, and so on. Very good .
