Description: S. l. By the author, 1940. Scrapbook, n. d. (1940s); 10 1/4 x 7 1/4; pp. [22]; repurposed, 18th-century (?) book boards with an elaborate gilt crest and fleur-de-lis accents - tied with decorative string; handmade paper leaves of various colors and textures; newspaper clippings affixed to rectos, manuscript, penciled-in subtitles to versos; light age-toning and wear; in very good condition. A humorous scrapbook in memory of President Franklin Roosevelt, it was subtitled "The Kronikles of a Krumb" and consisted of media clippings of the president with amusing commentary by the author. Under a photo of the president, in relation to his pledge to preserve US neutrality, the caption read: "I hate WAH! I hate WAH!" Another article, showing the president greeting his wife and unceremoniusly kissing her after a visit to Puerto Rico, warranted the caption: "Now, Frankie, stop! You're mussing me all up!. Very good .
