Title: Game of Duck Shooting / Game of Morrice / Game of Archery
Description: S. l. (New York), McLoughlin Bros. 1870. Three games in one; box - 9 1/4 x 5 1/2 x 1 1/2; two-fold instruction sheet - 5 3/4 x 3 1/2; Double Teetotum and 18 "men;" chromolithographed playfield for the Game of Duck Shooting over the two halves of box recto; playfields for the other two games in black and white on the two halves of box verso; teetotum missing the peg attaching the two parts together and bottom box with one apron perished; two chips with small loss of paper to edges of box; instruction sheet with a few small nicks; three minor pen marks; unknown, if any "men" are missing, though the highest number either game calls for is 18 (present); overall in very good condition. An apparently-unrecorded and fairly-early McLoughlin set, it featured three games, including the duck one with a questionable title. The latter revolved around spinning the teetotum and covering the ducks with men; the Game of Morrice's goal was to get three men in a row, along the straight lines; in the Game of Archery, the men were called arrows and the object was to see, who would make the best shots. Very good .
