One of several pioneering works on silver design and manufacture, the book was written by Minnie Cutten and her husband George Barton Cutten (1874 - 1962) - Canadian-American historian, psychologist, author, philosopher, and President of Acadia University and Colgate University. After accepting the presidency at Colgate, he would become known for altering its admission policy to prevent African-American and Jewish students from entering the university. His letter, typed and signed on Colgate University stationary, was addressed to Henry Wilson of Syracuse, New York - a renowned jeweler, who had opened his first store in 1918 and whose business, still thriving today, would become a landmark in downtown Syracuse. Very good .
