First edition; 7 1/2 x 5 1/4; pp. [2], 5, [3], 9-98; blue cloth over boards, printed and ruled in gilt; a bit of light rubbing to tips of spine and corners; previous owner's gift inscription to ffep; a few minor spots of foxing to first and last few pages only; in very good condition. Lady Mary Augusta Poynter, nee Mason Dickinson (1868 - 1930) began painting and writing poetry at an early age, later contributing to various periodicals, including Harper's, The Century, The Youth's Companion, and others. She would eventually travel to Europe, first to London, then to Constantinople, where she would marry Sir Hugh Poynter, then to Asia, and finally to Australia, writing several memoirs and travelogues all along the way. The current poetry collection was her last work. Very good .
