First edition; 7 x 5; pp. 3-78; beige wraps, printed and ruled in black; paper on spine a bit brittle, with several small chips; uniform age-toning; in about very good condition. Mykola Prykhodko (1904 - 1980) was a Ukrainian author and educator. He was a professor at the University of Kiev, when in 1938 he was arrested by the NKVD and sent to a concentration camp in Siberia for 3 years, one of 15 million Ukrainians, who were tortured and imprisoned without a trial. After his release, Prykhodko escaped to Germany, where he spent time at a DP camp, and then to Canada, where he lived and worked until his death. His current book was his first memoir. Good .
