A beautiful edition of Goethe's reworking of Euripides' ancient Greek tragedy "Iphigeneia en Taurois," it was translated into English by writer, editor, and translator Phillis Marion Ellis, who would also transcribe "The Golden Legend" for William Morris and his Kelmscott Press, from a copy of Caxton's first edition of 1483. Phillis' father, author Frederick Startridge Ellis would edit and publish some of William Morris' work and would be one of the latter's executors. Very good .
