Title: 'Santa Fe. " the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway System. Rules and Regulations of the Operating Department
Description: S. l. s. n. 1909. Early 20th-century edition; 5 3/4 x 4; pp. [1], 4-197, [1]; blue cloth over card stock boards, printed in red; illustrated with drawings and tables; small rubbed spots to tips of spine and a small abrasion to top edge of front cover; spot to bottom margin of leaves, not affecting readability; overall in about very good condition. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway was chartered in February 1859 to operate between Kansas (Topeka and Atchison) and New Mexico (Santa Fe). Interestingly enough, the railroad actually bypassed Santa Fe, which it was supposed to serve, for a long time, because of the difficult terrain. The company would be one of the first to use multiple modes of transportation for freight, including an airline and a tugboat fleet. Very good .
