(ca 1875); 10 1/2 x 9; pp. [6] + 6 unnumbered, chromolithographed leaves of plates (pp. 1 and 6 used as pastedowns, as published); pictorial wraps; a small chip to head of spine and a closed split to tail; occasional spots of foxing, mostly to margins of leaves; small, penciled-in signature of previous owner to upper margin of first plate; overall in very good- condition. An adorable children's book, part of the popular Aunt Louisa's series in late-19th-century England, it illustrated and described six of the animals found at the Zoological Gardens, today the London Zoo. Very good .
