Stepan Charnetskyi, writing under the pseudonym Tyberii Horobets (1881 - 1944) was a poet, theatrical producer and director, feuilleton writer, and member of the Moloda Muza group (a modernist organization of Ukrainian authors and artists, founded in 1906). Apart from running the Ruska Besida Theater in Lviv and co-editing several influential newspapers, he also published several poetry and feuilleton collections, including the current one, which was one of his later works.
