Volodymyr Sichynskyi (1894 - 1962) was a Ukrainian-American graphic artist, architect, and educator. After co-establishing the Architectural Institute in Kiev, he taught in Lviv and Prague, before he was arrested and imprisoned by the Gestapo in 1943. Sichynskyi emigrated to the US in 1949, where he continued writing and working on his architectural designs until his death. His current book, No. I of intended series, but all published, covered Ukrainian church architecture, including the some of the most famous monasteries, churches, and rotundas in the country.
