II pp. [2], 5-124, [2]; pictorial wraps with abstract floral designs in yellow and blue; title in Ukrainian and English on facing pages; a bit of wear to tips of spine and corners, with a small chip to head of spine of vol. I; overall in very good condition. Volodymyr Lopushanskyi (1903 - 1987) was a Ukrainian author and editor. He also founded and managed a Ukrainian bookstore in Kholm between 1934 and 1941. He was a prolific writer of historic works, including the current one on the Ukrainian War of Independence, which lasted from 1917 until 1921 between Ukrainian anarchists, Bolsheviks, Poles, White Russians, Germans, and Austro-Hungarians and resulted in the founding of a Ukrainian republic. The two stand-alone volumes were part of the series Kliub Pryiateliv Ukrainskoi Knyzhky, 20 and 21 (Ukrainian Book Club). Very good .
