(ca 1915); 8 x 6; pp. [10], 9-283, [1]; grey cloth over boards, with text and decorations in green and black; deckled fore-edge; illustrated with 16 engraved plates by Morris Meredith Williams (1881 - 1973) and 2 maps; uniform fading to spine cover; a few small nicks to tips of spine and a bit of wear along edges; overall in very good condition. Jean Froissart (1337 - 1405) was a Low Countries historian and author, whose most famous work, the current "Chronicles," retold the story of the Hundred Years' War. The present edition was adapted for younger audiences by author Madalen G. Edgar. Very good .
