Title: Morning Greetings from the Inside Inn. P.P. I.E. Start Smiling Breakfast Menu (Two Menus)
Description: San Francisco, By the author, 1915. First Edition. Two menues; 7 x 3 3/4; single sheets, text to recto only; cream card stock, printed in black, with an intricate gilt border; two punctures to upper margin for filing (as issued); very mild age-toning and wear; near fine condition. Scarce mementos from the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the menus, for Thursday and Friday, listed the varied breakfast items at the famed The Inside Inn. The hotel, nowadays long gone, as it was torn down after the exposition closed, was built right on the grounds, at the Baker Street entrance, thus allowing the fortunate-to-be-able-to-book-a-room attendees the ability to spend their entire time at the event. It boasted 610 rooms and the capacity to house nearly 3000 people. The menus featured Salt Mackerel, Breaded Veil Cutlets, Eggs in various preparations, Wheat Cakes, Coffee, Postum, and more. Near fine .
