Covering poems, written between 1909 and 1957, "Stikhotvoreniia" was Akhmatova's first, post-Stalin poetry collection to be published. Anna Andreevna Gorenko, pseud. Anna Akhmatova (1889 - 1966) is considered one of the best Russian poets of the 20th century. Apart from her poems, for which she was shortlisted for the Nobel Prize in 1965, she was known for humorously saying that she was born in the same year as Charlie Chaplin, the Eifel Tower, and Tolstoi's "Kreutzer Sonata." . Very good .
