Small broadside; 9 x 6 1/4; think paper stock, printed in black; 3 of the corners clipped; paper very fragile with old, faint creases and small splits and punctures along the lines; very good- condition.A humorous and quite amusing auction announcement for some of the property of one J. Hargadine of Casstown, Miami Co. Ohio, it read in part: "Sunday, February 14th, 1886..200 Pigs Feet, 20 Gallon Sauerkraut..1 Dune Mule on Roller Skates,a lot of fine chickens to gather in..Terms of Sale:..Rufus Graves, John W. Dye, C. M. McPhearson and Albert Knoops note positively no good and will not be taken.." Presumably designed by Mr. Hargadine himself, it is not clear if the sale has been successful, but we sincerely hope so. Ill.: 0. 2.
