Iakov Tsvibak (1902-1994), sometimes writing under the pseudonym Andrei Sedykh, was a Russian author, historian, and the long-time standing secretary of Nobel Prize for Literature winner Ivan Bunin. As is the case, the current work was the first one which Tsvibak wrote under his pseudonym. He later moved to New York where he was the editor of the Russian emigre journal 'Novoe Russkoe Slovo.' The book contains short stories describing his trip through Latvia in the late 1920s. Ill.: 0. 2.
