Carl Henry Marcoux was a United States merchant marine during WWII. His ships took part in the invasion of the Philippines and Okinawa before the war ended in August, 1945. He also served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Marcoux has written several books and memoirs, the manuscripts for which are now in the "Carl Henry Marcoux Collection" at the Library of Congress. His current book, though a work of fiction, is based on real events from the devastating Civil War in El Salvador (1979-1990). Ill.: 0. 2.
