She contributed numerous stories to 'The New Life' (the first Bolshevik journal), 'Russkoye Slovo' journal, and 'Satirikon' magazine working closely with Zinaida Gippius and Maxim Gorky. Forced to leave Russia after the October Revolution she traveled to Istanbul before settling in Paris. Her current book, "Istanbul and the Sun," (part of 'Kniga dlia Vsiekh' series) is her interpretation of exotic Istanbul of the 1920s through the eyes of a stranger. Ill.: 0. 2.
